The Commission has conducted a review of the boundary between East Dunbartonshire council area and Glasgow City council area at Princes Gate and Greenacres, by Robroyston.
The Commission formally agreed to carry out a review, and agreed its Initial Proposals for the boundary in December 2008. The Commission wrote in January 2009 to the two affected local authorities, and asked them each to make a representation setting out their views on the Initial Proposals by early March. Having received and fully considered those views, the Commission decided on its Provisional Proposals for the area, and published those Provisional Proposals on 14 May 2009 for a period of 12 weeks of public consultation. This consultation period was subsequently extended at the request of East Dunbartonshire Council to 31 August 2009.
At its October 2009 meeting, the Commission decided to consult on Revised Recommendations, which were published on 29 October for a period of public consultation which lasted until 28 January 2010.
At its meeting of February 2010, the Commission concluded that a Local Inquiry was not required, adopted its Revised Recommendations as its Final Recommendations, and agreed to submit its report containing those Final Recommendations to Scottish Ministers. The report was published on 18 March 2010.
